LA Lightbars – Website Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of our website, the purchase of goods, and services provided by LA Lightbars. Please read them in full before using this website or placing an order. By using this website or placing an order, you confirm your acceptance of these terms.

1. Website Access & Use

1.1 You do not need to register to access most parts of the website; some areas may require registration.
1.2 The website may only be used for your own private purposes and in accordance with these terms.
1.3 You may print and download material from this website provided you do not modify or reproduce any content without prior written consent.
1.4 We take all reasonable steps to ensure the website is operational, but occasional downtime may occur. We are not liable for unavailability.
1.5 We may provide advance notice of maintenance, but are not obliged to do so.

2. Visitor-Provided Material

2.1 Any material you provide to the website is non-confidential and may be used by LA Lightbars.
2.2 You must not post material that:

(a) You have not obtained all necessary consents for;
(b) Is discriminatory, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful;
(c) Contains harmful content such as viruses or corrupted data.
2.3 We will cooperate with law enforcement or court orders regarding any breach.

3. Links

3.1 The website may contain links to third-party websites. These are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.
3.2 Any website linking to LA Lightbars must not imply endorsement, misrepresent the relationship, or contain offensive content.
3.3 Breach of linking conditions will require indemnification for any resulting loss or damage.

4. Disclaimer

4.1 We take reasonable steps to ensure content is accurate, but do not guarantee all material is up-to-date.
4.2 All material is provided without warranty; you use it at your own discretion.

5. Exclusion of Liability

5.1 We do not accept liability for loss or damage from use of the website, except for death or personal injury caused by negligence or where prohibited by UK law.

6. Orders, Shipping, Cancellations & Returns

LA Lightbars sells both ready-to-go goods and made-to-order/custom items.
All made-to-order items are non-refundable.
Delivery/collection for made-to-order items may take up to 6–7 weeks.
Vehicles booked into the workshop may require extra time due to unforeseen circumstances.
Shipping/delivery charges are non-refundable, including return costs.
Customers may cancel orders under the Consumer Contracts Regulations within 14 days of receipt for ready-to-go goods, except for:
- Made-to-order or personalised items
- Perishable goods
- Sealed goods unfit for return once opened (audio, software, hygiene items)
- Goods that become inseparable when combined
On cancellation, goods must be returned promptly and in reasonable condition at the customer’s cost, unless the item was delivered in error or is faulty. LA Lightbars may charge for recovery costs if goods are not returned.
Refunds will be issued within 14 days of cancellation notice.

7. Deposits & Payment (Workshop & Services)

A deposit may be required to secure bookings or order parts.
Deposits are non-refundable once ordered.
Full payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise.
No vehicles will be released until full payment is received.
Interest on overdue invoices may be charged at 5% per week.

8. Installation Work & Warranty

Installation times are estimates; unforeseen circumstances may cause delays.
Customers must advise us of any existing faults, modifications, or non-standard wiring.
LA Lightbars may refuse work if vehicles are unsafe or unsuitable.
Modifying your vehicle may void manufacturer warranty; LA Lightbars is not liable for issues after the vehicle leaves our workshop.
Products carry manufacturer’s warranty where applicable; installation workmanship is covered for 12 monthsunless stated otherwise.
Warranty does not cover misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modifications, or fair wear and tear.
All warranty work must be organised and carried out by LA Lightbars; third-party bills will not be paid.
Vehicles are fully water tested before leaving our workshop; we are not responsible for water ingress after this point.

9. Vehicle Insurance & Liability

Vehicles are left on LA Lightbars premises at the owner’s risk.
Customers must ensure adequate insurance for fire, theft, accidental damage, and other risks while in our custody.
LA Lightbars accepts no liability for loss or damage to vehicles or contents unless caused by proven negligence.
Personal belongings should be removed before leaving vehicles on-site.
LA Lightbars is not liable for costs incurred from vehicles being off the road.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, and disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
